Hi all,
I have a manufacturing unit in Pune that ships 10+ tons of goods weekly to distributors in Hyderabad and Bangalore. I’m debating whether to use full truck load services (FTL) or stick with LTL (Less-than-truckload) consolidation.
Pros I see: faster transit, dedicated truck, lower damage risk. But I’m worried about empty hauling costs and return loads.
TCI Express offers FTL, as do others. Has anyone used TCIExpress’s FTL? How were the rates compared to LTL? Were trucks returned or filled efficiently for return journeys?
Are FTLs worth it if you’re shipping regularly? Or do LTL consolidators make more sense economically?
