I’ve been curious about Reiki for a while now, especially its focus on natural healing, relaxation, and balancing energy. The more I read about it, the more I feel drawn to start learning, but I’m still figuring out the best way to begin.

Since I have a busy schedule, I’ve been considering an online Reiki course as a flexible option. It seems convenient because you can learn at your own pace, review lessons anytime, and still connect with teachers and other students virtually. At the same time, I wonder how effective it really is compared to learning face-to-face.

One thing I’m most curious about is attunements. They’re such an important part of Reiki training, and I’ve heard mixed opinions on whether distant attunements feel as powerful as in-person ones. For those who’ve done it online, did you notice any clear energy shifts?

When choosing a course, I think it would help to have:

Clear modules covering the basics and practice techniques

Some form of live guidance or Q&A

A community space to share experiences

Certification as a milestone for progress

During my research, I came across Bhartiya Institute of Vedic Science, and I liked how Reiki was presented as part of a broader spiritual framework. That made me wonder if learning Reiki in connection with other traditions could provide a deeper perspective.

Do you think online learning goes deep enough for serious practice, or is it better as an introduction?
